Stanislav Anguelov

Stanislav Anguelov was born in Bulgaria and started playing accordion at the age of 4, and attended university in Plovdiv where he studied piano, saxophone, arrangement, orchestration, conducting and eventually majored in Accordion.

One of the biggest names in the accordion fraternity of South African, Stanislav has performed on many top stages locally and abroad, and has enjoyed numerous appearences South African television, radio, and as session musician or featured guest artist on various musicians' albums.  He regularly performs at concerts as a solo artist and together with other well known musicians throughout Southern Africa, and is always in demand to perform at weddings, private functions and other special events.

Performance highlights include accompanying Bryan May and Roger Taylor from Queen, Dave Stuart from Eurythmics, and Sir Bob Geldoff at the 46664 Concert at Green Point Stadium in 2003, an event which was broadcast worldwide and released on DVD.  In February 2004 he performed a concerto by Astor Piazzolla as soloist with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
