Siyeza

amaAmbush SIYEZA is a vibrant and energetic 7-piece band, blending traditional African and modern western instruments to create a fusion of sound that gets people dancing. The group is well suited to big stages, and has performed alongside groups such as Eagle-Eye Cherry at Rocking the Daisies, and on the main stage of the Pinotage on Tap wine festival.

Siyeza's lineup brings together some of South Africa's top musicians, and features both popular African songs and original material.

The band consists of:

• drum kit
• percussion
• bass
• lead vocals

"People love to move and dance to our marimba bands, so we have taken this concept to the next level" says amaAmbush company founder, and band producer, Ross Johnson. Having completed a degree in Jazz Performance at UCT, and after many years of performing in Rock, Classical and African groups, he is ideally placed to produce a band of this nature.
