Biography

Sheryl Deane completed her studies in Classical Guitar at the University of Natal, Durban RSA. Thereafter she studied in London & with John Mills in Wales. She performed with the Lauderdale Guitar Ensemble and gave solo performances in Highgate and Golders Green & Hampstead, London. While studying guitar and completing her music degree, Sheryl continued to listen to all types of guitar music including jazz, flamenco and rock & gospel. Today, she is versatile guitar player, who plays a selection of popular classics as well as the standard Spanish guitar repertoire.

Sheryl has built a successful career in Cape Town during the past decade, playing guitar for weddings and corporate functions as a soloist, with her Brazilian Trio, and with the violin-guitar duo, Duo Majore.
