Serenade String Quartet

Serenade String Quartet is one of Cape Town's busiest light Classical ensembles, made up of top professional players, all of whom are experienced chamber music and solo performers in their own right. 

Established by cellist Cheryl de Havilland, Serenade provides a personal service to ensure the success of the entertainment aspect of any function.  The ensemble plays a wide variety of Clasical and contemporary music - from Baroque music by Bach, Vivaldi and the other Masters, Classics by Mozart, Haydn and others, Romantic melodies by Tchaikovsky and Debussy and arrangements of well-known pieces from popular ballets and operas, through to contemporary arrangements of favourite musicals and pop songs, as well as melodies from yesteryear.  Their repertoire also includes all the wedding marches and hymns, and special requests can be sourced.
