Ronnie Muhl

Ronnie Muhl is an adventurer, athlete, author, inspiring speaker, and an entrepreneur who successfully manages three businesses.

As a speaker, Ronnie regularly presents to audiences across South Africa and abroad, having had the opportunity of speaking in India, Singapore, Philippines, England, USA and Canada. A speaking highlight was addressing 8000 members of the Million Dollar Round Table, the Premier Association of Financial Professionals, in Toronto, Canada. He is also a founding member of the National Speakers Association of South Africa (NSASA). 

As an athlete, he has run over 100 marathons, with a number of top 10 positions to his credit. He has run 20 Two Oceans marathons, with a best place of 30th in 3 hours 34 mins, and 11 Comrades, his personal best being a time of 6:25 (91 position). In 2001, he won the South African Masters Marathon Championships for his age group.

Ronnie has run his own financial planning practise since 1982. He is a life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, consistently qualifying for the Top of the Table, which places him in the top one percent of the top six percent of all financial services intermediaries in the world. He is currently serving on the Business Advisors Structure Committee of MDRT, having previously served on the Ethics Committee, the Practice Management Committee and on the International Management Council as the Zone Chair for Southern Africa.

Having been an adventurer all of his life, Ronnie spent 2 months in 2006 on the north face of Everest, unsuccessful in his bid to stand on her summit. He returned to the mountain in 2007 and on the 23rd May 2007 fulfilled his dream by becoming the 7th South African to summit via the North – East Ridge, this time leading a South African team of 4 climbers.  One of his inspirational books, titled “Everest – Surviving the Death Zone”, is dedicated to this extreme challenge.

Ronnie is also a founding member of MB Mountain Adventures cc, which is a corporation geared towards providing local and international adventure activities.
