Pizzazz String Quartet

Pizzazz String Quartet (consisting of violinists Sarah-Jane Frith and Nadine Roussopoulos, violist Azra Isaacs and cellist Ariella Caira) is a talented group of friends and experienced, passionate chamber musicians who have been performing together at weddings, shows and corporate functions around the Cape Peninsula since 2004.

Pizzazz has played at many popular venues including: Rhodes Memorial, Zeevenwagt, Zorgvliet, Vergelegen, Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, Erinvale Golf Course, Kirstenbosch Gardens and Cape Town International Convention Centre, amongst others.  Performance highlights include Trevor Manuels 50th, the opening of Palmyra Junction, the launch of Rola Motors Mercedez Benz show room in Somerset West, the International Air Show, and Cheryl Carolus’ wedding anniversary, to mention a few.  Pizzazz has also presented concerts at the V&A Waterfront, UCT graduation ceremonies, the Bellville Art Gallery and the Artscape’s Suidoorstefees.

As individuals, the members of Pizzazz have travelled the world and performed in different capacities as orchestra members, soloists as well as with other successful chamber groups.  When combined, these performers bring together a wealth of talent and experience, and a rich love for performance and quality music.

REPERTOIRE

Over the years Pizzazz has built up a large repertoire of music to suit the individual needs of every occasion.  They stay true to their classical routes and perform full Mozart quartets and Divertimenti, but are versatile and love to perform well known and loved Jazz standards with just as much energy and skill.  In between are tunes ranging from traditional wedding favourites to tango’s or famous love songs.
