Pieter Tredoux

Pieter Tredoux is a singer, pianist and flautist, best-known for his roles in the Pieter Toerien productions of popular musicals including Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera and Evita.

An ex-student of the highly acclaimed opera star, Nellie du Toit, Pieter is a charming and popular baritone specializing in lighter genres. These include French cabaret like Piaf and Brel; Golden Oldies (music from the 1920’s – 1970’s) and popular numbers from musicals and films. For the most part of 2004 he sang the role of Monsieur Andre in the South African production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's world-famous musical "The Phantom of the Opera", and he has starred in numerous Pieter Toerien productions since.  In 2011, Pieter was selected from scores of international hopefuls for a role in a German production of Lloyd Webber's Cats. 

Pieter obtained his BA (with Music) degree from the University of Stellenbosch where he specialised in solo singing. He won numerous awards and bursaries and also performed the title role in the Puccini opera, Gianni Schicchi, under the direction of award winning Christine Crouse. He was recently awarded a special prize for his performance during the Mimi Coertze Masterclasses and Concert in Stellenbosch.
 
Pieter performs regularly at various functions, weddings and soirees, at venues ranging from intimate lounge settings to concert stages. His connection with the fashion, advertising and TV industries (Pieter is also an active model and actor) makes him a perfect choice if you need an entertaining performance with the image to fit!
