Overtone
Location: Based in Los Angeles, USABiography

Overtone is an a capella boy band from South Africa, now based in Los Angeles, after being discovered by Clint and Dina Eastwood in 2009 and brought to the USA to record the soundtrack to Clint's film Invictus. The 6-piece has never looked back, touring far and wide, sharing stages with global icons, and being featured on international television.
The six-piece, which was formed in 2006 as a University serenade group in Johannesburg, has appeared on The Ellen Show with Ellen deGeneres, the George Lopez show, the Late Late show with Craig Ferguson, as well as numerous other US and South African produced television talk / magazine programs. They have also been featured in a wide range of print publications (including the Billboard Magazine and US Weekly), while recent performance highlights include opening for the Grammy Award-Winning OneRepublic, touring with Platinum-selling Corrine Bailey Rae, performing a three month run at the Las Vegas Wynn and Encore luxury casino (owned by tycoon Steve Wynn), and appearing at fundraisers for non-profit organisations set up by Tony Bennett, Charlize Theron, and Make A Wish Foundation, just to name a few.
Breaking traditional a cappella boundaries with their musical wit, arrangements and the innovative use of their voices, Overtone's repertoire is current and diverse, covering styles ranging from Adult Contemporary to Pop Rock, Reggae to R&B, and languages including English, Afrikaans and Zulu. Their two albums have received significant airplay on National, Regional and International Radio Stations, while many of the songs they recorded for “Invictus” stayed on the iTunes Soundtrack Top 25, peaking in the top ten, for four weeks.
