Lyric Jazz Trio

The Lyric Jazz Trio, consisting of saxophone, cello and violin or flute, covers a variety of musical styles from evergreens to jazz, accompanied with rhythm / keyboard backing to give the trio a full sound for functions of any size.

Established by well-known cellist Laurie Howe (who hails from the USA), the Lyric Jazz Trio features some of Joburg's most outstanding saxophonist, and is a division of the Lyric Ensemble, which Laurie has nurtured for over a decade.

The group performs for:

The delightful repertoire includes Swing and Jazz standards, African Jazz, Latin favourites, solid gold pop songs, and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sting, Josh Groban, and many more.
