LMR Trio
Location: Based in Cape TownBiography

The LMR Trio is a unique and organic band which fuses Jazz, World music and some Nu-folk, Classical and Indian-Classical elements into their otherworldly sound. Some known and more obscure jazz standards are explored, re-arranged and re-developed back-to-back with new and original compositions.
The trio, consisting of Lisa Bauer, Maxim Starcke and Ronan Skillen, is perfectly suited for art exhibitions, intimate private performances, weddings, holistic festivals and other special events.
The members' fascination with musical culture & timbres from around the World is refelcted in their use of the North Indian drum tabla and the kitchi gbo percussive instrument from Ghana, as well as various other instrumnts that contribute to interesting soundscapes.
LMR's performances are both subtle and powerful, blending through-composed musical poetry with stark yet beautiful improvisation.
