Linor Steinhausen

Welsh-born harpist Linor Steinhausen studied with Professor David Watkins at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and obtained a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree in Harp Performance in 1996. She also received a LGSM Diploma in Piano Teaching in 1995. She was Principal Harp with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales and has appeared as soloist on BBC Channel 1.
Linor joined the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra in 1997 as Principal Harp. In 2000 she was harpist for Queen Elizabeth II at a banquet at the Royal Hotel, Durban. For a season in 2001, she joined the Gothenburg Opera Orchestra in Sweden as Co - Principal Harp.
She has attended numerous courses and participated in Masterclasses in Britain, Germany and Australia. As soloist she has appeared with Baroque 2000, and the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also given solo recitals in Britain, Norway, South Africa, and is in demand for Weddings and functions throughout kwaZulu - Natal.
