Katrien Jooste-Klopper (BMus cum laude) is a professional freelance violinist who performs at various events, weddings and concerts, and has recorded with numerous local artists. She has been playing the violin and piano since the age of 6, and performed as soloist with the National Chamber Orchestra on both instruments as a child. During her studies, she received numerous awards and bursaries.
She currently performs on a freelance bases with orchestras such as the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO), Johannesburg Festival Orchestra (JFO), Johannesburg Music Initiative (JMI) and MIAGI Orchestra, and has performed with some of JOhannesburg's busiest ensembles, including the Lyric ensemble, Rendezvous String Quartet and Muziq Romantica.
During her years as a professional orchestra violinist she has shared the stage with artists like Luciano Pavarotti, Helmut Lotti, Patrizio Buanne, Sibongile Khumalo, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Miriam Makeba, the Parlotones and Freshly Ground. She has also made an apprearance with the violin in 7e Laan on SABC 2.

- Barlo World
- Volkswagen
She has performed at festivals and showcases like:
- Huisgenoot Skouspel (as a member of the orchestra)
- Grahamstown Festival
- KKNK
- Aardklop where she played in the acclaimed Deon Oppermann production, Droomstoel.
Other productions she participated in, include The Sound of Music, Princess Magogo, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, and the Barnyard shows Celtic Rock and Rock me Amadeus.
