Garth Taylor
Location: Based in JohannesburgBiography

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Garth Taylor made his debut onto the South African music scene in 1998, delighting fans with a number of chart topping hits, including the now-classic "Why", which remained at number one on the charts for five consecutive weeks, and “Only With You”, which was at number one on Cape Town charts for six consecutive weeks. Other chart hits include "Revolution", "If I Gave You My Soul", "Home Again", "Tonight" and his cover, "Islands In The Stream".
Today, more than a decade later, his music has matured whilst still living up to the fans' expections. Including undertones of jazz and soul, Garth co-produced his 2009 album "Stripped Down Soul’d Out", which sees him going back to his roots and contains music that is true to his soul and reminiscent of his debut hit single, "Why".
He has shared the stage with local and international greats, such as Simply Red, Shaggy, Jonathan Butler and the late Brenda Fassie. Garth's passionate and energetic stage presence and undeniable talent has earned him wide acclaim and a strong fan base which ensures a constant demand locally and abroad for him and his first-class band, the "Garth Taylor Band".
Garth always finds the time to help raise funds and awareness for foundations that care for abused women and children, and other charities.
