Este Visser

Este Visser received the degree B.Mus from the University of Stellenbosch in 1999, excelling in both the violin and piano. As pianist she has received numerous prizes, amongst which are the ATKV ’98 Piano Category prize, as well as the Scarlatti- and Hennie Joubert prizes from the University of Stellenbosch. She was also awarded the Stellenbosch Conservatoire Stipend in 1999. She has appeared as soloist with the CTSO in 1997, as well as the Hugo Lambrechts Symphony Orchestra during their tour to Germany in 1998. In 2000 she toured Portugal, attending masterclasses and giving solo recitals.

Este is currently an ad hoc member of the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, and works full-time for Cape Town Opera as rehearsal pianist.  She is also a member of various ad hoc Classical and cosmopolitan / crossover groups.
