DJ Vanessa Holliday

Vanessa Holliday has been making her mark from behind the decks since 2002.  Her versatility, ardent passion for the music and infectious personality lead to her almost overnight success. 

Initially rising to popularity playing an uplifting progressive and trance based sound, citing Tiesto and Paul van Dyk as her early influences, Vanessa fast became in demand across SA at smaller venues like Submission and Evolution, as well as larger events including H2O vs Sutra's ‘03/’04 New Years Eve and the H2O featuring Sister Bliss.

Broadening her horizons in 2005, Vanessa started mixing funky beats, and now consistently serves up her signature electro tinged, funky house sound all over the country at clubbing venues such as Sutra, Laboom, Groove Café, Natural Groove and Vacca Matta to Opium, Chrome, Partyhouse, Taboo, Odds & Club54. Currently an integral member of the Deckalicious crew, known as the only female DJ focused dance club feature on SA radio, Vanessa commands a weekly residency for the News Café franchise in tandem with fellow blonde shejay bombshell and close friend, Hayley Hunter.

Recent high profile gigs have included Vanessa’s performance alongside International Trance superstar Sean Tyas at Turbulence, and her inclusion in the support line-up for Deep Dish (Sharam) at Urbanwave’s Camel event.

Her personal credo of, "If you love what you do, you will never have to work a day in your life!" stands testament to Vanessa’s driving passion and unyielding commitment to her professional DJ career.
