Location: Based in Cape TownBiography

Country Cool is a unique country music duo based in Cape Town, presenting a refreshing mix of modern and traditional Country Music through the combined and varied talents of Pieter Mohr and Julie Hartley. Their cowboy boots-tapping repertoire consists of modern hits such as Need you Now and traditional, nostalgic duets like Islands in the Stream, and many other country favourites.
PIETER MOHR, with his unique voice and extraordinary vocal range, began his career in 2004, exploring different genres of music. Having won 1st place in the Western Cape Star Search competition in the Country category, he started performing Country Music and within a year, Pieter had independently released his debut album, Pieter Mohr, representing a mixture of modern and traditional country/rock. The acclaimed album, released in 2010, has been receiving radio play in South Africa and in Nashville, USA. Peter has shared the stage with big talents like Tommy Dell, The Campbells, Arno Jordaan and most recently, Kurt Darren and Gerhard Steyn.
JULIE HARTLEY began a musical stage career at 16, building up an enviable track record of lead roles such as Gigi in Gigi, Sandy in Grease and Guinevere in Camelot by the early age of 21. She's gone on to star as the lead in over 10 different movies, and is currently one of South Africa's top voice artists for radio and TV. The versatile Julie continues to be in demand on the corporate entertainment circuit as a soloist, MC and as vocalist in her Jazz quartet, Morphology. Julie never dreamed, until she met Pieter, that Country could be so Cool!
