Vocalist, entertainer, songwriter, producer, lyricist, poet and 2002 Pop Idols runner-up Brandon October is one of the most sought after singers in South Africa. Nicknamed 'the voice' by those who work with him, he has a vocal range that spans nearly 4 octaves. He is in popular demand as performer, Master of Ceremonies, celebrity guest and motivational speaker, with top corporate clients including Sasol, The Edcon Group, Shoprite Holdings, Eskom and many others.
Born in Cape Town, Brandon was surrounded by a family of singers and it was inevitable that music would become a part of his life. He cites diverse musical influences ranging from the smooth sounds of 50s star Johnny Mathis and the raunchy rock vocals of Freddie Mercury, to Opera and Classical music. He has released three solo studio albums (one of which went Gold) and has appeared on numerous albums performing duets or solos. He has also the co-hosted the popular TV shows Voila and Supersterre with Patricia Lewis, and has guested starred in two television soaps, Egoli and Villa Rosa.
Brandon believes in giving back to community and to society. He endorses CANSA, Reach For A Dream, Alzheimers SA, and The Heart & Stroke Foundation, and regularly avails himself for performances, motivational talks or general support.
