Amakhono We Sintu (AWS) is a group of talented young adults who have been making their mark in the South African entertainment industry. Established in 1997, the group now consists of 20 vibrant artists. Their aims include providing youth with employment, to educate them about HIV & AIDS, and to use the power of the arts as an instrument to change the lives of vulnerable youth.
AWS' live performances have been met with great praise from the public, peers and clients alike, and the group is performing regularly for both public and private events. Clients are presented with various options of dance and performance genres to integrate with their brand identity and event strategy.
Many past AWS artists have become members of critically acclaimed productions such as Drum Struck NY, Umoja the Spirit of Togetherness, The Lion King (France) and Gumboots.
