Popular 94.7 Highveld Stereo DJ Alex Jay is a South African radio legend and veteran broadcaster of 3 decades.

Alex is best known for his wicked sense of humour, boundless energy and ever-changing hairstyles (remember the spikey blonde hair and crazy earrings when he was “The Jay Thang”!), his longevity bears testimony to his ability to constantly adapt and tune into the latest radio and music trends.

In addition to his radio broadcasting work, Alex remains a sought after party DJ. He has also hosted numerous TV shows including AM2Day, Fast Forward, Graffiti and The Hot Seat, and is an in-demand voice-over artist, probably best known for his work on Top Billing.

Alex is committed to remaining relevant to listeners, and his deep love for music ensures he is on the cusp of the latest music and cultural trends. A self-confessed technology freak, he is known to always be one step ahead when it comes to high tech trends!
