Biography

Airborne was formed in 1984 and has been a popular and regular attraction at venues and concerts around Cape Town and South Africa. Primarily a 4-piece unit (keyboards, bass, saxophone & drums), Airborne regularly features guest artists on horns, percussion, lead guitar and vocals. The group performs a diverse range of genres spanning from Jazz Standards, African Classics, Smooth Jazz, R&B and Old School.

RELEASES

Airborne’s numerous releases include live performances recorded at the Nassau Centre (Intimately Airborne LIVE) and The Baxter Theatre (An Evening with Airborne & Friends LIVE). These recordings feature artists such as Tony Schilder, Basil Moses, Richard Ceasar and Melanie Scholtz.
