Abaqondisi Brothers (Brothers of Understanding) emerged from a small Township of Stellenbosch in 1992. Having wowed crowds from many corners of the world with their magical voices for nearly two decades now, this 12-piece group has established itself as one of the most successful Isicathamiya groups on the circuit. This musical sensation uses unique harmonic structures by fusing various styles within their own stylistic context.
Abaqondisi has shared the stage with various superstars, including Ringo, Stimela, Tkzee, Obenda of Norway, Sibongile Khumalo, Prophets of da City, Winston Mankunku, Jimmy Dludlu, Boom Shaka, Bongo Maffin and many others. Their magical harmonies were acknowledged within international media circles when they performed both SA and Italian National Anthems during the Italian Rugby team's visit to South Africa. The group has also appeared on several Television programs, such as Ezodumo, Gospel Gold, Peace Café, Ngomgqibelo, Real Vision etc.
Their CD releases include: Ezulwini Lami, Umtheth' Uyavuma, Isifingo, Izwe Lesithembiso - The Promised Land, Ilizwe Aliphucuki and the latest “The spirit of healing” as released by Afrimusik Records.
