Introduction
Five Seasons Entertainment specialises in the placing of performers at corporate, private and public events in Southern Africa and beyond. With a roster of over 500 performers from across South Africa and beyond, and a large national and international client base, Five Seasons Entertainment has earned its reputation as one of the top entertainment facilitators in Africa.
The splendour of Five Seasons’ roster of performers is equalled by the team’s in-depth understanding of the various genres, and their unmatched knowledge about the artists represented and the entertainment industry in general. The roster includes the top headliners and superstars as well as an extensive list of musical groups and artists, African entertainers, cabaret artists, celebrities, comedians, speakers, speciality acts, and much more.
Established in 2002 by SA Music Award winning producer, performer and live entertainment specialist Carina Bruwer-Pugliese, the agency started out as Five Seasons Music, an owner-run business focusing on live music for corporate and private events. The organic growth of the business lead to the inclusion of performers from across the spectrum of live entertainment, and our team of booking agents and live entertainment consultants is today considered as amongst the best the industry has to offer.Five Seasons Entertainment is also established itself in the areas of artist management, entertainment PR, and entertainment event production.

CARINA PUGLIESE, Director
Apart from being an award-winning flautist who has performed on most of South Africa's top concert stages, owner and director CARINA PUGLIESE (Bruwer) has been active in the business side of the entertainment industry for more than a decade, having run various bands and ensembles from a young age. After establishing Five Seasons Entertainment as one of the largest entertainment agencies in the country, Carina diversified into production, conceptualizing and executive producing a handful of musical releases, one of which (Sterling EQ live in Concert – Live DVD) was awarded with a coveted SA Music Award (SAMA).
Carina holds the degree BMus.Hons (cum laude), as well as a UNISA Performer's Licentiate (cum laude). Having performed with various highly acclaimed musical acts on the entertainment circuit, Carina has been involved with numerous high profile events and productions over the years. Our clients benefit hugely from this first-hand experience which Carina and her team applies when consulting on corporate entertainment.
Apart from her entertainment and business background, Carina is also a renowned marathon swimmer, with various national and international records to her name. Her skills and versatility have been covered by national media across the board, as well as international TV and newspapers, and she enjoys a worldwide following amongst peers in her fields. DAVID BRUWER, General Manager & Booking Agent
General manager and booking agent DAVID BRUWER (aka DeWet) joined Five Seasons in 2007 after returning from London, where he had just completed the degree MMus cum laude (Masters degree in Music Performance) at the world famous Royal Academy of Music. An irreplaceable member of the Five Seasons Entertainment team, David manages the office and staff relations, handles corporate and wedding bookings, artist applications, website maintenance, accounts, and offers corporate and wedding entertainment consulting. He also co-manages The Gugulethu Tenors.
Previous experience includes work in sales, research, training and communication. An acclaimed concert pianist and winner of numerous local competitions and sought-after international scholarships, his far-reaching performance experience has earned him critical acclaim both locally and abroad. He has performed as soloist on most of SA's top concert stages with all of the country's major orchestras, as well as in recitals in the UK, France, Belgium, Portugal and Ireland.
In addition to his MMus, he also holds Performance Licentiates from UNISA and the Royal Schools of Music, as well as a Teacher's Licenciate from the Royal Academy of Music..
JESSY DE KOCK, Booking Agent, Office Assistant
Office assistant, booking agent and in-house graphic designer JESSY DE KOCK joined Five Seasons in the beginning of 2008. She holds a Diploma in Creative Conferencing & Event Specialisation (Damelin, 2003).
The daughter of a busy Durban-based musician and comedian, Jessy has been exposed to, and involved with, various entertainment genres from a young age. Until being appointed at Five Seasons, she performed in various Barnyard Theatre productions across the country, singing leading and backing vocals, and being actively involved in various administrational and management aspects of the productions. Through her active involvement in the light music industry, Jessy has connections with various young entertainers across the country. Jessy is also an avid photographer, and has recently completed her Digital Single Lense Reflex course at the Cape Town School of Photography.
Jessy handles general administration, artist applications, corporate & wedding bookings, and manages the switchboard. She also handles many of Five Seasons' in-house graphic design projects.
NICOLETTE MICHAELS, PR Co-ordinator & Assistant Artist Manager
PR Co-ordinator and Assistant Artist Manager Nicolette Michaels joined the Five Seasons team in July 2010. Nicolette's PR experience has lead to exciting opportunities in a variety of disciplines, including Media & Client Liaison, Event Management and Corporate Social Investment projects.
Previously employed as a Marketing and Events Coordinator within the South African comedy industry, Nicolette was responsible for various marketing and public relations activities as well general artist management. In this roll she also co-ordinated theatre productions, corporate bookings and weekly comedy showcases.
She holds a National Diploma in Public Relations Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Although formally qualified in public relations, her broad experience in event management & media liaison has proven invaluable to her career path thus far.
Nicolette handles the PR activities of Five Seasons Entertainment's exclusive Artists, as well as for the company as a whole. She also co-ordinates public performances for-, and assists with the management of Sterling EQ and the Gugulethu Tenors.
